Touch Screen Software DriversTouch screens react to the touch or contact with the screen. The exact spot where the touch takes place is then transmitted to the computer the touch screen is attached to. This signal is then translated in a way that the computer then thinks that a left-mouse button has been clicked. This "translation" of this signal is done via a peice of software called a driver. With the correct driver you can install a touch screen and have it communicate with the computer. With the wrong driver or with a driver improperly installed your touch screen will not work and you will simply have an expensive LCD monitor. Select the correct driver by finding the correct manufacturer and then the touch screen model or series that you have. Once properly installed you will be able to touch the screen and have the computer recognize the touch. |
